Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1.5 pounds beef eye of round, sliced 1/4-inch thin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 pounds (24 ounces) uncooked beef eye of round, cut in 1/4-inch slices

Utensils needed

  • Deluxe Reversible Rack (Both Layers)
  • Large Bowl
  • Whisk

Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl, prepare the marinade by whisking together all ingredients except the beef. Then place the marinade and beef slices in a large resealable plastic bag.

Step 2
Massage the outside of the bag to work the marinade over all parts of the beef, then place the bag in the refrigerator for 8 hours or more to marinate.

Step 3
After marinating, pour the meat and marinade into a colander in the sink. Push the beef around to allow excess marinade to drain.

Step 4
Place the bottom layer of the Deluxe Reversible Rack in the lower position, then place in the pot. Lay half of the beef slices flat on the rack. Slide the Deluxe Layer through the lower layer's handles. Lay the remaining beef slices flat on the top layer of the rack. Make sure none of the slices are touching one another.

Step 5
Close the lid and move the slider slider to AIR FRY/STOVETOP. Select DEHYDRATE, set temperature to 165°F, and set time to 6 hours. Press START/STOP to begin cooking.

Step 6
When cooking is complete, remove the rack layers with the jerky. Store in an airtight container.

Step 1
Whisk together all ingredients, except beef. Place mixture into a large resealable plastic bag. 

Step 2
Place sliced beef in bag with seasonings and rub to coat. Marinate in refrigerator for at least 8 hours or overnight. 

Step 3
Strain meat; discard excess liquid.

Step 4
Lay meat slices flat on the Ninja® dehydrating rack* or Ninja Cook & Crisp™ Layered Insert**. Arrange them in a single layer, without any slices touching each another. 

Step 5
Place dehydrating rack or Cook & Crisp Layered Insert in Cook & Crisp Basket. Place basket in pot and close crisping lid. 

Step 6
Press DEHYDRATE, set temperature to 155°F, and set time to 7 hours. Select START/STOP to begin. 

Step 7
Jerky will be pliable and soft after 5 hours, continue cooking for up to 7 hours if crispier jerky is desired. 

Step 8
When cooking is complete, remove dehydrating rack or Cook & Crisp Layered Insert from pot. Transfer jerky to an airtight container.
